As a celebration of the time of year when farmers are harvesting their crops, and to think of charitable giving, all year 7 & 8 pupils took part in a ‘Thanksgiving Assembly’ on Wednesday 4th October.

Christina Morgan, manager of North Enfield Foodbank, was the guest speaker and gave an insightful presentation to the boys on the work of North Enfield Foodbank in providing food parcels to those families and individuals in Enfield who are struggling to keep themselves nourished due to poverty.

In response to this, our boys then presented their own food gifts that they had brought from home.  In total our boys presented 160.5kg of food to be distributed to those people in Enfield who are less fortunate than themselves.  Christina was overjoyed with the generosity of our boys and Mr Cook, Head of Lower School, proudly thanked them for their gifts.

We look forward to further charitable giving throughout the year.  Well done boys!

We currently have vacancies for three Parent Governors. Being a Governor is an important role in the life of the school
as Governors work with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team in setting the overall strategic direction of the
school. The Governing Body has three core strategic functions:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction.
  • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils.
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

Happy Diwali

Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is the most popular of all the festivals from South Asia. It is also an occasion for celebration by Jains and Sikhs. Come along and see our display in the library!

Happy Diwali

I plan to have a cake sale on Tuesday, 17th October in the upper school staff room, as a fundraising event for my grandson, Andy, who needs an operation to enable him to walk unaided (email sent to you all back in September).
If anyone wants to show off their baking skills and bring some cakes in too, I wouldn’t say no!
Each portion will cost £2, so please come along and enjoy some cake whilst making a difference to a 6 year old’s life!

Many thanks and please don’t forget.

Kind regards
