This half term, as part of our Sex and Relationships programme we will be covering a range of topics during Citizenship lessons. We feel this should include frank and open discussion on issues from which some parents may wish their children to be exempt on religious grounds. Equally, some parents may wish to take the responsibility for this area of their children’s education.
Dear Stakeholders (Governors, Staff, Parents/Carers and Students) RE: SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT FUND As the autumn term draws to an end, I write to you to share my appreciation for your contribution to the School Development Fund for the academic year 17/18. Although we didn’t manage to meet the School target, we did manage to raise just over £10,000. Thank you so much to those that contributed to this total. Those that didn’t, don’t worry, they’ll be another opportunity to contribute to the Fund for the current year 18/19.
I write to inform you that pupils will be dismissed from 10.45am on the last day of term, Friday 21 December 2018.The school council has requested that this day be a non-uniform day with the pupils paying £1 donation. All monies donated will go towards playground equipment fot the students..
Whilst not wishing to alarm you, I feel that the following information is important for you and your son to know and I feel it is my duty to share this with you. There have been a number of muggings that have taken place in the Enfield area over the past weeks. It is believed that these assaults have been carried out by a group of youths, not only after school but also at the weekends too.
The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK. It is an award-winning combination of exciting theatre shows, interactive workshops and exhibits and careers information from STEM professionals. We would like to offer our Year 8 students the chance to understand how important scientists and engineers really are… they literally shape the world around us! The number of exciting career possibilities that exist within science, technology, engineering and maths are endless and the best news is, there’s a route for everyone.
As a Science Department, we are keen to ensure that our students are fully prepared for their GCSE exams. In order for them to achieve this, we advise that you purchase the CGP GCSE Combined Science AQA Revision Guide for a reduced price of £6.00 (RRP £9.95) if purchased through the school.
The Revision Guide covers the entire course clearly and concisely, with coverage of all the new Required Practicals, maths skills and advice on Working Scientifically. There are also practice questions at the end of each page to test students on what they have learned.
