The ‘Friends’ of Enfield County School for Girls will be holding a ‘Year 7 Christmas Disco’ on Friday 7 December 2018, in the Main Hall at their Lower School from 7pm to 9pm and our Year 7 students have been invited.
Year 13 update
I am writing to keep you updated on developments in Year 13. I am delighted to report that nearly all students who have submitted UCAS applications are now receiving offers and our target is to get all applications submitted before the end of term. If your son has not yet submitted his UCAS application, your assistance in ensuring that this is done before the end of term is greatly appreciated. Deadline for submission to UCAS is 15 January, but students do not return until the 8 January, leaving a small window of time to correct any issues and amend teacher references.
Key dates for Year 13 -reminders
Christmas fast approaches and we are making plans for this year’s Christmas lunch arrangements.
This is always popular with the students and in order to assist with catering requirements and queue management on the day we will be adopting the following process:
We are organising a school trip to see a matinee performance of “School of Rock” on 17 January 2019 and all students in Years 7-9 are invited to apply for tickets. This is an imaginative and exciting musical production which may already be familiar from the film version. I am sure that everyone who attends will have a wonderful afternoon.
You are invited to attend the Enfield Grammar School Christmas Concert which will be held on Friday 7 December 2018 starting at 7.30pm. Our students will perform a variety of seasonal pieces in their many ensembles and bands and our audience will be invited to join in with a number of traditional Christmas Carols.
Payment via ParentPay for the Christmas Concert is now closed. Tickets can still be purchased by email to email@example.com
From Wednesday 31 October 2018, we will be implementing a new procedure for students in year 9-11 who are late to school..
As I know you are aware, OFSTED carried out a two day ‘Section 5’ Inspection last Thursday and Friday. The Inspection was rigorous, challenging and extremely helpful in confirming our areas of strength and our areas of development and we have already begun acting upon the latter.
