At Enfield Grammar School there is, as you are aware, an emphasis on pride in our school community. This is perhaps most publicly reflected in standards of school uniform and student appearance both at and on the way to and from school.
I am therefore, writing, to request your support in our drive to reinforce high standards of uniform and appearance at the start of the new term in September, and to advise you of the actions which will be taken where students fail to meet our expectations across all Year Groups in the School.
From the beginning of next term, students will be immediately sent home if their appearance is judged to be inappropriate and they are unable to rectify the situation. They will only be allowed to return when they have presented themselves to a member of the Senior Leadership Team or a Year Head and are wearing the appropriate uniform. Further challenges to the ‘School Uniform and Dress Code’ will be interpreted as deliberate defiance of the school rules, which may lead to internal isolation or fixed term exclusion.
Your support in these matters is greatly appreciated.
