Pupils are safe and secure and behaviour is good. Pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4 and students in the sixth form share a keen desire to do well and they apply themselves with eagerness to their work.

Pastoral care

Enfield Grammar School believes in the system of Pastoral Care and we operate the following procedures:

Year system

Students are placed in a house group when they join the school in year 7 and will remain in this house throughout their journey with us. This helps to create and build a sense of community with house competitions taking place and merits being awarded.
Each form has a form tutor who is the first point of contact for students and who sees them daily. The form tutor plays a key role in looking after the welfare of their students.
Each year group has a head of year who oversees the pastoral care for their year and monitors their progress.

House system

There is also a strong House tradition and allegiance at Enfield Grammar. Houses provide a framework for internal competitions. It is hoped that every student will support his House and participate in as many activities as possible.
